Current Activities

    Surveying and Trail Improvement

In addition to our ongoing efforts dealing with the issues that the Upper Bondsville Dam has brought to us, we are working with local surveying company Lewis & Cook Surveyors, Inc. to finish surveying the next section of the Belchertown Land Trust trail which extends from Jackson Street to Bay Road. Specifically, we are aiming to bring the foot trail back to the former railroad bed, as trees and brush have grown over it and the path has been diverted in the past few years.

This project will also entail trail improvement (consisting of removing large rocks, downed tree limbs and branches, etc.). We will be looking for volunteers to help with trail improvement. Please use information found on the Contact Us page to let us know if you are interested in helping.

    Educational and Recreational Outdoor Events

We are continually working on securing funding to offer educational and recreational outdoor events. Notice about these events will be added to this web site as they are scheduled. We hope you'll join us!
